Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple, we want the best for all those connected with our school.

At Arlecdon we aim to provide the highest quality of education, so that children achieve to the very best of their ability, we have high aspirations for all of our children.  We will nurture every child to develop their confidence and aspirations.

We are a friendly, safe and welcoming school where everyone feels valued; where children aspire to become the best versions of themselves; a place where achievement is expected and is celebrated; a place where all members of the school community care about each other and are kind to each other, we respect ourselves, our families and our community..

We have a dedicated and conscientious staff team who foster positive relationships and work very hard to provide the best opportunities for all our pupils. Through our curriculum children become confident, resilient and independent learners, who have a passion for learning.  In addition to our curriculum, our wider school life supports our children to become responsible, respectful, tolerant and kind citizens of the future.

Every child is given the opportunity to succeed beyond the classroom and our children experience rich opportunities that form memorable experiences.  We hold high expectations and high aspirations for all of our young people.

Learning Behaviours – SMART

In School we only have three rules:

  1. Learning – We come to school ready to learn and we don’t stop others from learning
  2. Safety – We aim to keep ourselves and other people safe in all we do
  3. Respect – We respect ourselves and others in our community

Our rules help us to manage our behaviour effectively. In school we call our behaviours SMART.

Try our best
