Remembrance

This week we have learned a little about Remembrance Day and why we wear a poppy. We used a short video from CBeebies to see why the poppy is used as a sign of remembrance. Then we created our own poppies.

On Wednesday 11th November at 11am we held our poppies, bowed our heads and remained silent for 1 minute while we thought about those soldiers who lost their lives during wars fighting for our freedom.

The children do not fully understand the reasons and the history but they showed great respect and thoughtfulness as they remained silent.
