Physical Education

At Arlecdon Primary School, our Physical Education curriculum gives children the tools and understanding required to make a positive impact in their own physical health and well-being. and incorporates sustained levels of challenge, through a wide range of high-quality activities.

Our children have access to a wide range of activities both competitive and non- competitive, which encourage all children to succeed and be physically confident, as well as building character and learning values such as fairness and respect. All lessons and sporting opportunities support their health, wellbeing and fitness and provide the foundations for lifelong activity. Through the activities we teach, pupils know how to be healthy, not just physically and socially, but in understanding the importance on their emotional wellbeing.

Lessons provide opportunities for children to listen to peers, lead others and develop their own games including scoring systems. These skills, which are developed in PE, are important life skills that children will need in adult life., including the encouragement to be the best that they can be.
