The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions have created many challenges for families. Weeks of social isolation have made family life more intense and whilst some have enjoyed this break from normality, others have struggled.
It is our sincere hope that school can open to all pupils in September, although it is anticipated that restrictions to support social distancing will remain in place limiting the availability of the breakfast and after school provision.
To support transition back to school, and to provide opportunities for learning during the summer holiday, we are intending to provide provision in the form of a summer school. This will be funded by West Lakes MAT and will focus on wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, creativity and practical skills. We are also intending to take children on school trips where it is safe to do so.
The provision of the summer school is dependent on sufficient uptake from families who feel comfortable sending their children to the summer school during the holiday period. Places will be prioritised using the following criteria:

More details will follow once we have an indication of the numbers who wish to access this provision.
