Welcome to the page of Years 4, 5 and 6
Please note: Children are expected to read daily at home. They will sign in every day at school to let me know that they have read - there will be shout outs to those who manage to strive for 5 each week! :) If your child has read a book and they would like to take a quiz on Accelerated Reading but can't find the book, let me know and I'll see if I can add it to the library to help them boost their points!
Children are also expected to practise their times tables every day. We use Times Tables Rockstars in school for this, which you can access at home. Children can earn coins and spend these in the virtual shop. If your child has forgotten their login, please let me know and I shall ensure that they get it again!
Spellings can now also be accessed below to practise. Please note - the code changes daily so make sure that you make a note of which one to input. Spellings are set in year groups - either 3/4 or 5/6 - as well as an additional option if your child requires more of the basic spellings.
If your child would like more practice in anything, please have a look at the links on this page for additional sites.
We use Purple Mash (topic), Charanga (music), Spelling Frame (spellings), and Maths Frame (Maths), so feel free to check them out below! We also use Learning by Questions and SPAG.com, but this will be when specific tasks have been set and you will be informed of this beforehand.
During half term and holidays, topic work will be set as well, so check this page for more details!
Power cut learning from home
Please log on to Learning by Questions, if you are able, to do the Science activities. You can also practise your spellings on Spelling Frame and log onto Times Table Rockstars to practise those too. If you cannot access any of these, please continue planning your artwork for our Autumn/Winter themed competition.
See you all tomorrow! 🙂
